The Jojay gold property is an advanced‑stage project within northern Saskatchewan’s La Ronge greenstone belt, covering 198 hectares and located 150 km northeast of La Ronge. It lies just 7 km by road from the Jolu gold mill, offering a strategic advantage for future mine development, and is already serviced by an exploration access road. A February 4, 2010 news release announced an NI 43‑101 resource estimate of more than 137,000 ounces of gold in the Indicated and Inferred Resource categories, with gold mineralization remaining open down‑plunge and along strike. Wescan has since consolidated and expanded its holdings around Jojay and continues to advance the project’s exploration potential.

In 2010, Wescan disclosed the first NI 43-101 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate, prepared by A.C.A. Howe International. Using a 2 g/t Au cut-off grade, Mineral Resources were reported as: Indicated: 420,000 t @ 3.7 g/t Au (50 koz Au) and Inferred: 630,000 t @ 4.3 g/t Au (87 koz Au). The Red Zone is modeled over ~500 m of strike to ~400 m depth, averaging 4–5 m in width, and remains open down-plunge.
The Mineral Resource is hosted within the Jojay Structural Zone, a north–south–striking shear zone system that remains open at depth and along strike. Subsequent exploration and drilling programs (2011–2013) added both infill and step-out drilling and an airborne geophysical was completed over the property whereby the results expanded the prospective trend and generated new targets along the corridor for follow-up work.
Highlights from 2011
The 2011 summer drill program consisted of 10 holes totalling 2,678.5 metres whereby this drill program focused on infill/confirmation drilling as well as step-out drilling post the 2010 Mineral Resource. The program was designed to confirm the Mineral Resource base within the known gold mineralized zones as well as to test for further gold mineralization in areas in close proximity to the known Jojay Gold deposit considered “highly prospective”. Three step out holes (JJ11-007, -008 and -009) confirmed significant gold mineralization outside of the previously drill tested area at depth, highlighted by a gold mineralized intersection east of the current Mineral Resource within Hole JJ11-007 grading 20.0 g/t Au over 2.64 metres. Drill holes JJ11-001, -002, -003, -004, -005, -006 and -010 all confirmed previously known gold mineralized trends and assisted with the infill delineation of the current Jojay 3D geological mineralization model. Highlights from 2012 Drill program
The 2012 winter drill program consisted of 8 holes totalling 1,903.0 metres. Three (3) holes (JJ12-003, -004 and -005) were drilled outside the current 2010 Mineral Resource model shells with JJ12-004 confirming significant gold mineralization of 11.92 g/t over 6.00m along strike to the North of the current Mineral Resource shell. Drill holes JJ12-001, -002, -006, -007, and -008 were infill holes drilled within the current Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource shells with all holes reporting significant gold intersections, highlighted by an interval of 2.31 g/t Au over 36.19m and 63.12 g/t Au over 1.56m in hole JJ12-001.
