Wescan Goldfields has recently acquired the gold portfolio from Shore Gold who remains a significant shareholder in Wescan. The company has recently acquired the experience and historical success of Judy Stoeterau, to be President of Wescan Goldfields Inc. Most recently Judy Stoeterau was employed as the Vice President of Exploration for Claude Resources. She received her B.Sc. Geology degree from the University of Manitoba and is a member of the Saskatchewan, Ontario and the Northwest Territories/Nunavut professional geoscience associations. She has over 30 years experience in the fields of mineral exploration and corporate management, working for both major and junior companies on gold, base metals, uranium and diamond projects in Canada and South America.

Wescan is actively exploring its Jasper and Jojay gold properties in the greenstone belt of northern Saskatchewan with the objective of expanding known gold resources and advancing them to the development stage and pursuing exploration of its uranium properties in the Athabasca Basin through its joint ventures with Santoy resources. The company is also expanding its interests in the area of north eastern Saskatchewan adjacent to the former producing Hanson Lake Mine and the McIlvenna Bay deposit.
